THE TEACHERS OF ENGLISH AND ART IN PRIMARY LEVEL OF OUR SCHOOL, LA SALLE HORTA, HAVE DESIGNED THIS INTERESTING NEW BLOG WHERE YOU CAN FIND LOTS OF THINGS ABOUT WHAT CHILDREN DO IN ENGLISH CLASS AND ALSO IN ART AND CRAFTS FROM 1st TO 6th OF PRIMARY DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.

IT ALLOWS US TO SHOW YOU NOT ONLY WHAT THEY DO , BUT ALSO INTERESTING AND AMAZING RESOURCES THAT YOU CAN USE AT HOME (OR WHEREVER) WITH YOUR CHILDREN, SUCH AS: WEBSITES, ARTICLES, STORIES, VIDEOS....

WE'RE STARTING A NEW COURSE AND WE ARE SO HAPPY TO SHARE THIS WITH ALL OF YOU. THE WHOLE FAMILY CAN LEARN  ENGLISH NOW AND, ABOVE ALL, CAN ENJOY WITH IT.

Dear parents and students,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Pilar, I’m  the English Department Coordinator and I also teach English in CS Primària and in the ESO. The English Department main goal is to improve our pupils' level of English and to have fun while doing it. That is why I am really happy to start writing on this new blog we have created from the English Department, so that you can all learn and be aware of the interesting things our pupils will do in class while using the English Language.

Let me invite you to have a look at our blog on a regular basis,  and feel  free to post your comments and ideas whenever you want.

Besides, I’d like to  provide you with some information related to the English Department for this school year. As you may know, we will have a Language Assistant (like Claire last year) who will start doing her job in October (pending date). She will be in the classroom helping the primary English teachers and teaching our pupils in her mother tongue (English). This will allow our pupils to be in contact with a native speaker. Besides, we will start working on a new project in CS Primària: the English library. The school has bought some brand new graded readers, so we will try to encourage our students to read in English by spending some time to read in class. Hopefully they enjoy reading in English!!
