In 1rst of Primary level we have started knowing a new artist: YAYOI KUSAMA. She is a Japanese woman that has got a serious mental illness but she makes incredible pictures and sculptures. One of the most famous aspects of her work are the POLKA DOTS and that is why she is known also as the "princess of the polka dots".

Our activity has consisted on practicsing the polka dots with paint and bottle caps.

FUNNY PEACOCKS!

Children from 2nd of Primary level have made these wonderful peacocks!

We have decorated their tails with eyes because we are doing Dali and one of his symbols is the eye.

A WONDERFUL CLASS!

Last Thursday, Aleix Badal, one of our students from 2nd of Primary level told us a very beautiful story: The very Hungry Caterpillar. 

He did it excellent!  

When he finished the storytelling everybody hugged him! 

It was an amazing experience, not only for the children but also for the teachers!

Dear parents and students,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Pilar, I’m  the English Department Coordinator and I also teach English in CS Primària and in the ESO. The English Department main goal is to improve our pupils' level of English and to have fun while doing it. That is why I am really happy to start writing on this new blog we have created from the English Department, so that you can all learn and be aware of the interesting things our pupils will do in class while using the English Language.

Let me invite you to have a look at our blog on a regular basis,  and feel  free to post your comments and ideas whenever you want.

Besides, I’d like to  provide you with some information related to the English Department for this school year. As you may know, we will have a Language Assistant (like Claire last year) who will start doing her job in October (pending date). She will be in the classroom helping the primary English teachers and teaching our pupils in her mother tongue (English). This will allow our pupils to be in contact with a native speaker. Besides, we will start working on a new project in CS Primària: the English library. The school has bought some brand new graded readers, so we will try to encourage our students to read in English by spending some time to read in class. Hopefully they enjoy reading in English!!
